SHAWN THE TECHIE
GOALS Looking for an outlet to socialize his energetic Boxer puppy Find activities that are local and convenient to plan Form a local network in the dog community Wants his puppy to have manners around other dogs and humans
FRUSTRATIONS Owner would like outdoor play to be in a controlled environment Weekend activities would be best for his schedule
BIOShawn is a Database Developer who leads all management systems for a nonprofit company. Much of his day is spent in traffic commuting to his job. His baby, Lucy, a 1 1/2 year old Boxer is very energetic and requires at least 3 hours of physical activity a day. If she does not have an active lifestyle she will become destructive, argumentative and cranky at night. His wife works remotely on occasion and has a more flexible work schedule than he does, so he relies on his wife to exercise Lucy during the work day. Shawn loves technology and recently bought a pricey mind game toy controlled by an app from his phone for Lucy when no one is home to entertain her throughout the day. There is a dog park in the neighborhood that Lucy frequents but Shawn does not like some of the unruly dogs that are in the park.

BIOMary works from home as a travel agent and technical support for a software company. She has 2 golden retrievers Maya, age 2 and Koa, 4 months. Both dogs have different personalities and activity levels. Luckily, Maya plays tug and ball with Koa most of the day, so they tire each other out. Both dogs, love to go for boat rides and swim in the river. Mary takes the dogs to dog parks in the fall and is willing to drive up to 45 mins for a park that has lots of trees and shade for the dogs. They cannot last long in the heat and humidity. The dogs also enjoy playdates with the next door neighbor.
