N O T I C E . • DECONTROL OF PROPERTY IN GERMANY.

A partial decontrol of property in the British, American and French zones and the corresponding sectors of Berlin will take effect from 1st January, 1948, from which date onwards the Military Government will cease to be responsible for the custody of property hitherto under its control. Custodians appointed by the M i l i tary Government should either be confirmed by way of a formal Power of Attorney or be replaced by the owners.

The measures of decontrol have been published in No. 2645 of the Board of Trade Journal of 30th August, 1947, page 1487. Notes for information and guidance of owners, which differ according to the zone or sector wherein the property is situated, are obtainable from my office in Jerusalem or the offices of the Custodian of Enemy Property at 29, Kingsway, Haifa, and 35, Yehuda Halevv Street, Tel Aviv.
