    East Hunsbury Primary School Publication Schemeon information available under the Freedom of Information Act

    2000

    The governing body is responsible for maintenance of this scheme.

    1. Introduction: what a publication scheme is and why it has beendeveloped

    One of the aims of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (which is referred to as FOIA inthe rest of this document) is that public authorities, including all maintained schools,should be clear and proactive about the information they will make public.

    To do this we must produce a publication scheme, setting out:

    The classes of information which we publish or intend to publish;

    The manner in which the information will be published; and

    Whether the information is available free of charge or on payment.

    The scheme covers information already published and information which is to bepublished in the future. All information in our publication scheme will either be availableon our website when this online or in paper form.

    Some information which we hold may not be made public, for example personalinformation.

    This publication scheme conforms to the model scheme for schools approved by theInformation Commissioner.

    2. Aims

    We be lieve

    Our school should be a stimulating and welcoming community in which allchildren and adults feel valued, able to contribute and where relationshipsare based on mutual respect.

    Children should be active participants in the learning process and beprovided with experiences that maximise their involvement, autonomy andindependence.

    We should be an inclusive community where pupils are offeredopportunities to grow together, learn together, laugh together and celebratetogether.

    We should equip our children with the skills they need to be happy andsuccessful in life, nurturing in them a true and lifelong love of learning.
