Many heartfelt thanks to Old Town Brewing for hostingToday’s Wonderful Drive-Thru Market
Public Coast was Born in Cannon Beach. A brewery, set to follow the path blazed by Governor Tom McCall in 1967 when he saw fit to boldly declare our beaches free and open to all. Today, we celebrate this landmark legislation – with beer. Lots of honest, great tasting beer. Enjoyed in Cannon Beach, Oregon and beyond.
But we didn't stop there. In 2018, we really ‘bought the farm.’ A 40 acre property located at the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range in the northern Willamette Valley in Banks, Oregon.
And Public Goods? Well, how does one distribute Beer AND Fresh Farm Products? We call that the Goods.

BlackjackBumbleberry Sour Stout
Las Vegas – not really a berry growing kind of town. But that’s where our fearless brew master trained. Win-win for us, because he rolled the dice back home and came up with the perfect balance of Oregon berries, acidity, chocolate, and low amount of bitterness. We guess he knew both when to hold AND when to fold.
Fun Fact: BlackJack got its’ name from casinos offering a bonus for a Jack of Clubs as a way of introducing the game “21.”

An easy drinker “gateway beer”
(considered a golden ale in some
circles). Clean, crisp and light.
Everyone’s got a favorite year. Maybe it’s the year you fell in love, or you finally beat your dad at croquet (that cheater). Maybe you mastered the didgeridoo or conquered your aversion to shell peas. For us, it’s 1967, the year that Oregon boldly decided our beaches must belong to everyone. We know - literally awesome.
We just had to toast that populist spirit, so we created this delicious, freewheeling namesake. Just like our beaches.
Aroma is Citrus rind & pineapple.
Loaded with citrus fruits, creamy
texture, ending with Light bitterness
of orange and grapefruit pith. Its a hit!

Coastal HazeHazy IPA
7.2% ABVHAZY India Pale Ale
A great day on the Oregon coast sometimes starts off with a layer of haze. You could call it our “thing.” Okay, you could also call it “Cannon Beach fog.” The point is that it’s our signature, our jam, our sweet spot. As is our Coastal Haze IPA. Made with four kinds of hops, this IPA salutes those misty no-visibility beach walks that leave us damp and disoriented, but surprisingly happy: rain pants are the new sexy and we are winning it.
Fun Fact: The Oregon Coast still a bit too sunny for you? Try the Faroe Islands! Capital city Tórshavn boasts just 37 days per year of sunshine.
