A portion of the proceeds will go to the Blue Star Moms. This is an organization of mothers with sons and daughters actively serving in the US Armed Forces. Throughout the year, they take part in activities related to supporting our active service members. The Eagle Dash will continue to get bigger and better each year so make sure you sign up for your spot early. Registration is limited so make sure you get the famous Eagle Dash t-shirt and sign up to compete in one of our waves of runners. We have a new option as well! You can sign up to be a 'Virtual Runner'. You support our program and one of our cadets will run for you! Our biggest purchase of the year, or maybe ev-

er, was this decked out and wrapped trailer! It

looks incredible, but it’s also very functional,

transporting all of our equipment to our drill

competitions. Thanks for everyone’s help mak-

Meeting was called to order @18:35 in the JROTC room on February 12, 2019.

In attendance: Angie Truitt, Kyle Carkhuff, Tina Carkhuff, Amber Gardner, Carlene Madison, Mike and Rita Lasyone, Daniel Fleming, Klair Mikulik, Jodie Eakin, Stacy Jaynes, Beatriz Camacho, Shirley Shubin

Old Business

Treasurer: Tina has taken over the treasury roll. A Treasure report was passed out to all members at the meeting. It was split into categories and was noted that will be stream lined in future

Trailer request- A quote was approved by e-mail to go forward with the wrap. It will not be ready for Pasadena Drill meet. Slight delay with the vector files. Once the files are all set. It will take approximately 3 days to complete. CWO has painted the interior with non-slip paint and rifle racks have been installed. It’s looking good so far. Thank you CWO for all the hard work.

Committees

Ball Committee, Bylaws Committee, Drill Committee, fundraising/grants/ audit Committee, Garage sale Committee, Membership Committee, Merchandise Committee, Race Commit-tee, Sponsorship Committee, Scholarship/Community Giving Committee & PR Committee.

Committee leader will contact interested parties soon so they move forward on items. If any-one is interested in working with a certain Committee please contact the booster club.

New Business

A camcorder is being purchases Wednesday the 13th to record Drill meet performances. It is

a useful tool to see where the team can improve or change.

Volunteer of the month

The Booster Club Recognizes Klair Mikulik’s Family for cooking a great pulled pork for the

Dayton Drill meet and numerous other volunteer events. (Cadet Cody Cunningham)

Honorary Booster members

Quentel and Henson Orthodontics. Every year they allow the JROTC to utilize the property

behind the school to facilitate all the Fun Runs. Thank Dr. Quentel

Donated flatbed trailer

The donated flatbed trailer was listed at $1000.00 and then reduced to $800.00 for quick

sale. One person from the metal dept. offered $500.00. All voted if we get no better offers.

Board Positions

I can’t believe the school year is coming to an end, and we’re talking about Booster Club Board Position elections!!

We elect our new Board members at the May meeting, and we’ll be sending out application forms via email, Remind, and our social me-dia for any parents interested in serving in a Board position next year.

If you are a current member of our Booster Club, you can apply!

A very special "THANKS A BUNCH" to Crystal Strong, our February Volunteer of the Month. Crystal volunteered to take over a new position, Sponsorship Coordinator, and has been hustling to bring new sponsors and vendors to our upcoming Eagle Dash. She’s also taken over coordinating our Spirit Nights! Thank you, Crystal,

We’re always sad to see Drill Meet season come to an end, but wow,

what a great season these cadets had! They worked so hard, and did

so well!! We couldn’t be any prouder of them!!

Next up on our agenda is the EAGLE DASH!! We need volunteers, so

if you are available to help, please sign up!!
