Annual Catholic Appeal A Future Full of Hope We have a Passion for our Faith, a Promise for our Future, we Care for our Community, and we Love our Family. If you have not already done so, we ask
for your donation and your prayers for the work of the diocese & our parish! Thank you to the parishioners who have so far pledged a total of $85,050. Our combined Archdiocesan/parish goal is $130,947, leaving $45,897 to go. If we make our goal, $68,600 will return to us for our 2016 Parish Project: replacing the retaining walls on the east, south and west sides of our property, and the sidewalk in front of the church. This is vital with the construction of the new Rapid Bus Transit on the east side of the Church. Over 60 Diocesan ministries & ser-vices are supported by our gifts to the Annual Catholic Appeal.
Confirmation Mass at The Proto-Cathedral This Friday, May 13th
7:00 pm Bishop Edward Burns of Juneau, Alaska, will cele-brate Mass & the Rite of Confirmation, followed by a reception in the Upper Hall. All are welcome! Come, support our 13 Confirmandi on this special day. Music for the Mass provided by Scott Powell and the St. James Collegium Musicum.

Curious about Catholicism? I f you or someone you know is interested in learning more about or joining the Catholic Church, invite them to visit a new “Inquiry Table” in the Lower Hall on Sunday mornings at 10:15am. Come over after the 9am Mass or before the 11am Mass and join an informal conversation to ask any questions you may have or perhaps to learn more about the Mass, prayer ideas, or beginning to read the Bible. This would be a good way to start if you or a friend has been away from the Church for a while and might be ready to come home.
Mother’s Day Novena A Happy Mother’s Day to all our parishioners! Mother’s Day Novena (nine Masses) begins today and will be offered for all those names submitted on the cards now placed on the altar. Join us in praying for mothers both living and deceased.
