Minutes of the PTA meeting on

Monday, 16th January 2012

In attendance: Elizabeth Mends, Sue Livingston-Urquart (Co-Chairs of PTA), Vicky McGrail, Jenny

Sneesby, Ian West, Mike Greenwood (Treasurer), Annabel Iredale, Aziza Makki, Diane Whitmore,

Fiona Imber, Jude Tugman, Lisa Adams, Rowan Woodward and Helen Cox (Secretary)

2. Minutes

Amendment to minutes 7th November 2011

Item 5 Fireworks thanks to Steven Brightey (instead of Ian Brightey as

accidentally typed).

Item 8 - Mince pie donations for Carol Concert, not Christmas Fair.

Minutes of the previous meeting on 7th November 2011 approved by all present.

3. Matters arising

PTA payment for Samba, Mike confirmed PTA had not made a payment.

Treasurer also confirmed that 8,018 has been paid to the school for the

equipment as specified by Sarah Brown for the new build.

In addition the Emlyn Fund has received 2,000

Mike reported that this academic year PTA funds have reached 14,000. The

fireworks made a profit of 1,250 (figures were circulated to all present).

A breakdown of the income is available from Mike. Approximately 4,000 remains

available.

Discussed possibility of PTA having money paid in to the SCOPay internet

payments scheme used by the school. Vicky to speak to Finance Manager. VM

4. March Social 16th March 2012

Discussion took place about merits of holding a Quiz Night. All agreed that it was

a fantastic event last year; however PTA members who have organised this in the

past have less available time to commit. Therefore it was agreed it could only goahead as a team effort. Responsibilities discussed and confirmed at the meeting:

5. Christs School at the Richmond May Fair

Marie Hawthorne and Claire-Louise French have kindly offered to organise the May

Fair. Volunteers will be needed to help and this will be discussed at next PTA

meeting.Performers and Samba Band at Fair Vicky to speak to Mr Wilson. VM

6. PTA Funds

See matters arising above.

Request from school for a re-usable banner for the Christmas Craft Fair at the cost

of 120. All agreed. Elizabeth to contact Kate Montagu. EM

7. Any other business

Cash and carry Card Vicky to write letter on Christs letter headed paper for

PTA to use to obtain a cash and carry card. VM to liaise with Elizabeth and Sue.

link on PTA page, HC to ask Julia Ralph.
