    Christs School PTA

    Minutes of the PTA meeting on

    Monday, 27th February 2012

    In attendance: Elizabeth Mends, Sue Livingston (Co-Chairs of PTA), Jenny Sneesby, Vicki McGrail,

    Claire-Louise French, Steven Brightey, Mike Greenwood, Rowan Woodward, Ian West and Helen Cox

    2. Minutes from 16th January 2012

    Minutes approved.

    3. Matters arising

    Vicki to check with finance team to see if PTA can have funds paid into SCOPay by

    parents.

    Re-usable banner Mike to email Kate Montagu to confirm PTA agreed to pay.

    Helen to ask Julia Ralph if possible to put link to Flickr page on PTA page of school

    website.

    4. Quiz Night 16th March 2012

    Thanks to Aziza for booking the curry, Jenny and Rowan for writing the questions.

    Discussion took place about all the jobs to be done, timings of food and silent auction.Tasks before the night

    Checking supplies in PTA cupboard and liaising with Jon Hughes Elizabeth, Sue and Rowan

    Liaising with Mark and Barry at school to enquire about technology projector, microphone, music and

    lectern on evening Vicki (who will then let Helen and Rowan know).

    Ticket order form to be sent by email Helen

    Tasks on the night:

    Table and fairy lights set up from 3.00pm (all available please)

    Curry and kitchen Aziza, Isabella and two more people please

    Selling raffle tickets Steven

    Bar Elizabeth, Sue, Mike and Ian

    Marking Rowan, Jenny and Helen

    Clearing up - all

    5. Christs School at the Richmond May Fair Saturday, 12th May 2012

    Claire-Louise confirmed the booking. To be discussed at next meeting.

    Performers and Samba Band at Fair Vicki to speak to Philip Wilson. Claire-Louise

    explained that this should have been confirmed in January to ensure they can

    participate.

    6. PTA Funds

    The library has been shortlisted for a library design award. Sarah Brown passed

    on her thanks via Elizabeth for the PTAs contribution to the new library.

    The theatre lights funding request from Sarah Brown. Elizabeth to investigate

    further.

    Volunteers

    Discussion took place how to encourage more volunteers and interest in the PTA.

    Relatively low turnout at the meeting. Volunteers and PTA members are needed to

    ensure the PTA can continue to function and provide financial support to the

    school. All ideas and people welcome!

    The meeting ended at 8.15pm

    Date of next meeting - Everyone welcome to attend

    Monday, 23rd April 2012 at 7.00pm in the music room.
