Our good friends at Olympus have given us the ability to convert Omniscan 0-degree data (.OPD and .OUD) into the ProScan data file format so analysis can be done utilizing the industries best corrosion mapping software, the ProScan Analysis software. This feature will allow Omniscan owners to analyze data faster and more effectively utilizing all the tools and features the ProScan software offers.

…..so if you are a proud owner of the Omniscan MX, MX2 or SX unit and own any of the below scanning equipment, you can still collect corrosion mapping data as before, conventional or phased array 0-degree methods but now use our ProScan Analysis software with Omniscan File Converter feature to analyze data better than ever!

Why convert and use the ProScan Software?

Answer: The ProScan Analysis software was written specifically for Corrosion mapping whereas the Omniscan software was specifically written for flaw detection. The following are tools and features that makes the ProScan Analysis software the industries best in corrosion mapping software:

• Statistics – Find the minimum thickness with a click of a button and options to ignore non-relevant indications to locate the true minimum thickness of a scan

• B and C-scan - View data with the ability to invert, rotate, smooth, 1:1 ratio, hide non-rel. indications, sizingRotated clockwise, Smoothing on, 1:1 ratio

You can export values based on the exact point location value, or minimum, maximum or average value within this grid location which is an excellent and speedy tool for engineers requiring this excel data for risk based assessment analysis

• Data Exporting – to Pipeline Burst Pressure Calculator Software

If you are a current owner of our Pipeline Burst Pressure Calculator (PBPC) or you want to purchase this additional software ,you can now have the ability to export UT thickness values direct into the PBPC software and perform burst pressure analysis based on B31G, B31G Modified and Effective Area calculations. The PBPC software automatically sizes and groups the corrosion based on interaction rules prior to running the burst pressure analysis

• Projects – An internal file management system that automatically stores data files within a project folder

• Scan Sheet – The software has a built-in scan sheet that reads all scans within the project . The scan sheet shows all scan locations and stores statistical information for each scan

Simply load a project and scans will appear. Double click the scan to view the data

• Dynamic gates – We offer gates that move based on signal amplitude and position to allow higher accuracy

• FFT – Perform a spectrum analysis on data already collected

• Temperature correction – Enter a temperature and the data will be compensated accordingly

Insert dongle into PC Double click ProScan Analysis icon on Desktop

Click “OmniScan Data Converter”

Follow wizard instructions to convert the file

For C-scan data, open C-scan Open Scan Sheet, double click your scan to open Now analyze your scan data

• If you are a current owner of the ProScan Analysis software, all you will need is to purchase our OmniScan Converter dongle from AUT Solutions to activate this feature (Software upgrade required)

• If you are not an owner of the ProScan Analysis software you will need to purchase the ProScan Analysis software and OmniScan Converter dongle from AUT Solutions
