• Milks protein and fat structure tends to easily entrap air causing errors in batch unloading. This air is introduced in several ways:• Agitation from within the travelling tanker trucks.• Drawn into the process from loose process connections or

leaking seals.• Pump unloading that can induce air when gravity drainage

isn't possible.• Even the use of air eliminators at the site of receiving don’t

completely remove these highly suspended bubbles due to being undersized or as a result of insufficient holding times.

• Ice cream before its final delivery into packaging , is intentionally highly aerated (process known as over-run).

• These large amounts of air can result in poor mass flow and density measurement of standard devices which can result in poor final product quality and over/under filling.
