THE CUSTOMERBased in Alberta, Integral Energy Services Ltd. provides its clients with

a range of energy services. Its offerings include electrical services from

temporary power to startup; heat-tracing solutions; data and fibre optics

services; as well as civil and mechanical project management.

THE CHALLENGEIntegral Energy Ltd. hired Decca Design Inc. to conceptualize and furnish its

new 2,500-sq.ft. facility. All of the company’s offices would be located on

one floor, and the space would require the installation of a reception area,

boardroom, private offices, open-area cubicles for employees—as well as

an estimating area where planning and sourcing of products would occur.

The goal of this project was to showcase a range of products and

manufacturers, however a tight timeline, the need to balance aesthetic and

functionality, and budget considerations were all challenges that had to be

overcome.

Decca Design turned to Grand & Toy to help them take on these challenges

in order to meet their client’s vision and goals.

THE SOLUTIONWorking in close partnership with Decca Design, Grand & Toy

helped the design firm provide innovative, creative design and

furniture solutions for Integral Energy’s new office space.

For the reception—a custom desk complemented the lounge

seating and guest table.

Private offices were a pleasing blend of function, and aesthetics.

The open-area cubicles, metal storage and shelving, laminated

wall exteriors, and window solar shades were elements that

worked together to create a comfortable work environment.

In the estimating area, the heart of the business, the need for

organization and efficiency was maximized with storage units, white

boards, and a paper rail track—among other space-saving solutions.

In the end, the Grand & Toy team’s knowledge of office furniture

solutions supported Decca Design’s creativity and vision, resulting

in a collaborative project that exceeded the client’s expectations.
