3,1 a.A. Technician/a.C. Leadman shall be capable of reading J.1 lettef'S on staIxiardJaeger eye test chart. a.c. Technician/a.C. Leadman shall be required to have an eyeexamination annually and a color vision test every three years.
3.2 The a.Ala.C. Supervisor shall be responsible for insuring the compet~e of the a.c.Technician/a.C. Leadman.
'3.3 When inspecting components in the plant, a flashlight shall always be used.

Inspection Edge Preparation4.1
Surfaces and edges to be welded shall be unifonT\ and shall be free of cracks, 9Ol'Je8.etc.. which could adversely affect the qualify of strength of the weld.
4,1.2 Surfaces to be welded and surfaces adjacent to a weld shaH be free of lose or thickscale, slag, rust, moisture, visible oxides and grease or oil that would affect the quaay ofwelding.
Edges of carbon steel bottom sheet and roof plates for field wekjing shal be coated withdeoxaluminite.r

4.2 Fit-Up Inspection
Misalignment of plates shall not exceed the requirements shown on the Code ToleranceSummary Sheet (see attachment).
Gaps shall be within the limits shown in the welding procedure.
Tack welds shall be cleaned and inspected for cracks. Any tacks that are cracked shallbe removed.
Weld Inspection Shall Consist of the Following Criteria Which are Spot ChecksMade During the Perlormance of the Q.C. Technician/Q.C. Leadman NormalDuties.

Welders and operators have current qualifications.
4..3.2 Correct WPS is available at the work station.
Compliance with WPS.
Use of correct welding filler metal.

No evidence of cracks.
No evidence of lack of fusion.
Undercutting is within code limits as shown in Exhibit 1

Fillet welds are correct size (Attachment A). Check by use of fillet gauges.
Visual and dimensional tolerances shall be within code limits as shown on Attachment B.4.4.6
Mark all Weld Joint Areas Containing Defects Clearly for Elimination of Defects.4.5
