Q1. Draft an invitation for school farewell ‘ALOHA 2019-20’ on a colored pastel sheet. Make it as attractive as possible and paste in your English notebook.

Q2. Write a computerized job application providing a cover letter and your bio-data for the post of a/an Mechanical Engineer/ Company Secretary/ Neurologist/ PGT English/ Marketing Executive. Attach it in the English notebook.

Q3. Recently you went to you native village to visit your grandparents. You saw that some of the children in the age group 5-14 (the age at which they should have been at school) remained at home, were working in the fields or were simply loitering in the streets. Write a letter in 120-150 words to the editor of a national daily analyzing the problem and offering solutions to it.( ref.:- Lost Spring)

Q1. Visit to pharmacy in your locality and ask name of the different drugs in his shop and

categorize them as antacid, tranquilizers, analgesic, narcotics, non narcotics,

barbiturates. Make the list of uses of these drugs for the treatment of diseases. Make a

project file on “Drugs” followed by the following contents i.e introduction, objective,

methodology, collected information in tabular form, result and analysis and

conclusion.

Paste pictures to make your project file more presentable and attractive.

Q2. Make a project file on scientific investigations involving laboratory testing and collecting information from other sources. A few suggested projects.

Q6. MATH & REAL LIFE.

Create a collage that displays images of how math applies to real life. This could

include photos of people shopping, paying bills, buying a house, working or even of a

simple paycheck. Use your own life as inspiration for the collage by considering how

math affects your daily life. Include a sales receipt for a coffee you purchased, photos

of concert tickets or a picture of yourself in a work uniform, standing at a cash

register. Combine the collage with a written reflection of how math impacts you and

how you envision it playing a role in your entire life.

COMPUTER SCIENCE

Q1. Research about some websites which uses C++ as their programming language. Write

in your notebook about such 5 companies and their purpose using C++.

Q2. Mobiles are tiny computers in your hand, which have several components like

processor , display system, camera, memory, storage power management,

connectivity, sensors etc..

Go to your nearest mobile store and compare specifications of two phones, one you

have at your home and other-your dream phone. Compare the two in notebook.

Q3. Make a poster on A-4 size sheet to illustrate importance of AI(Artificial intelligence).

Try to take real life examples of its uses.

Q4. Following C++ programs need to be completed using turbo software for CBSE

PRACTICAL FILE. These should be submitted in a CD and also write all codes in

notebook too.

a) Write a C++ program to input two numbers m and n and display first m multiples

of n.

b) Write a C++ program to input day number of a week and display the

corresponding day name.

c) Write a C++ program to read a string and print it after replacing each of its capital alphabets by the corresponding small alphabet and each small alphabet by its corresponding capital alphabet.

d) Write a C++ program to input 10 elements in an array and then display these elements in reverse order.

e) Write a C++ program to input elements in a 2D array and then display the sum of main diagonal elements of this array.

Guidelines for Project 1 Name of the project: Swachcha Vidhyalaya Swachcha Bharat.

a) Focus: To spread awareness about Cleanliness and Sanitation.

b) Key objectives: For learner or students Identify and clean the dirty places. Know the importance of cleanliness in neighborhood, parks, market places, roads

and cities.

Be aware of unclean and unhealthy surroundings as breeding ground of epidemics and diseases.

c) Project process Identify the area of focus and prepare a road map to achieve the given targets. The given ideas can be further explored. Disposal of human waste properly and safely. Proper garbage disposal. School sanitation. Personal hygiene. Green and blue bins. Water conservation. Spending a day with sanitary workers and visiting a city water works. Collect the above data and road prepare report of the class.

d) Suggestions Students are required to complete the task in the groups allotted in advance by

the mentor. They need to perform the same activity individually also so that they can assess

their own learning from the project. Create awareness and take up projects to ensure cleanliness of water sources

like lakes, rivers, ponds. The allotted groups can share their conclusion and experience of the project

through TV programs and make videos on you tube.

Guidelines for Project 2 Name of the project: Dignity of Labour.

a) Focus: Considering the inequality in the society so that steps can be taken to uplift the dignity of labour class.

b) Key objectives: For learner or students Understand the importance of different occupations in our social system such as, ice-cream lorry, balloon man, tea staller, kite seller, bangle seller,knife sharpener, food lorry, etc.

Inculcating respect for all types of work among everyone. Understanding the value of Human Rights.

c) Project process Identify the area of focus and prepare a road map to achieve targets. The given hints can be further explored. Collect newspaper cuttings highlighting respect for human rights and violation of

human rights. Collect views of elders/parents/other adults on the same. Collect quotations and quips on the same. Spending a day with sanitary workers and visiting city water work. Collect the above data and road prepare report of the class.

d) Suggestions

Students are required to complete the task in the groups allotted in advance by the mentor.

Group can contribute to community work by regulating and facilitating the job of people from different walks of life in their respective areas.

Students can discuss about the importance of different vocations in a social structure. Students can bring a change in their behavior towards themselves. They can discuss the social or mental problems that arise from lack of respect for
