the story. They can be people, animals, or other creatures. There
may be many characters in a story. However, there usually are at

characters are known as the main characters. One is called the

character. Slide 23 Theme The theme is the central idea or message
in the story. Short stories often have just one theme, whereas
novels usually have multiple themes. The theme of a story is woven

interactions, and motivations all reflect the story's theme. Slide
