chosen. Mobilization done by Elders and local radio. Subcutaneous route used for PPR & CCPP. Tail tip used for CBPP in cattle.

Total number 0f animals
Total vaccinated Percentage.
cattle 11000 22
sheep 7694 1.5

Results.
There was low vaccination coverage. This was attributed to the following;
Inadequate staffing( 1 veterinarian). Poor vaccine storage facilities. Bad weather and over flooding of roads. Insecurity in some areas. Lack of transport in the field. Poor cooperation from farmers.
Discussion.
To the government of Uganda; Improve on security conditions in the region. To the district local council (kotido); Recruit more staff in veterinary department. Offer logistical support to the department. Procure solar powered refrigeration facilities. To the farmers; Cooperate whenever such interventions are
done.
Recommendations.
Kotido district local government. Makerere university ,college of veterinary
medicine, Animal resources and bio security. RESPOND US AID project. African field epidemiology network
(AFENET). Farmers community in Kotido.
