November, 2001 and sadly ended May, 2010. Jack Bauer is introduced usually as a CTU agent or working for the FBI.

Bauer’s Role

Jack Bauer, the protagonist, is a CTU/FBI agent. His job usually involves preventing major terrorist attacks on the United States. He saves civilians and government while defending himself and love ones that are targeted. He goes through a very tough life, both physically and mentally.

Static or Dynamic? Jack Bauer is a Dynamic character. Every season he comes back having suffered something very severe like being held prisoner by the Japanese.

Flat, Round, or Stock?

Bauer is a stock character. He is immediately recognizable to the audience.

Bauer’s Archetype

He is ‘The Hero’. Jack Bauer doesn’t stop at anything. He fights whatever he has to to get the job done. He is a wicked a wicked serious person, but has his moments where he shows affection.
