Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time September 22, 2019
Dear parishioners:
Registration continues. This is the final weekend after all masses for religious education. You can’t register for Confirma-tion 2-year program without a baptismal certificate. If you are in the second-year program you will already have given us your certificate.
We really need your help just to pay the bills! Please consider an increased gift to the parish. We recently had to buy a new A/C for the office building. It cost $2400. We also need more money to fund the St. Vincent de Paul Outreach. It is a very important part of our parish ministry. I also need more volun-teers to help with the VOA food bank. We recently received a $1000 grant from Our Lady of Loretto for this purpose. Many thanks.
The needs list goes on! We need more people to serve mass. There is no age limit! Consider doing it as a family. Contact Deacon Pablo at the parish office. Several have volunteered as Eucharistic Ministers. We will train them in fall. I need several of them to visit the sick and bring communion to shut ins.
Finally, we need more volunteers for our evangelization out-reach. It just takes a little bit of time to contact and welcome people into our neighborhoods. We now receive about 50 names each month. The contact list of new families needs to be dis-tributed to the volunteers for contact. Several of the Hispanic groups offered to help Chris Murphy with this. Please contact me or Chris Murphy at 303-384-0319.
Marriage preparation: Please see us 8 months before your mar-riage. Classes: $185 per couple. Register at www.catholicmarriageprep.com for classes. Our parish website is “presentationdenver.org”. There are many helpful articles on it. If you haven’t given to the Archbishop’s Appeal, please do so today!
May the Spirit of Jesus fill our hearts with His Love! Fr. Ed
