HIGH QUALITY DURABLE FLOORSOLUTIONSPRECAST HOLLOWCORE high quality floorsolutions represent the fastest, most economicaland most efficient way of installing floors and theyguarantee extremely reliable quality for end users.

PRECAST HOLLOWCORE products helpshorten construction schedules due to their rapidinstallation, the possible absence of any need forfurther finishing and the fact that the floors arethen immediately ready for use.

Another advantage is their relatively large spans, which allow the number of support points to bereduced. This yields optimal design flexibility.

ADDED VALUE FROM SERVICE ANDTECHNICAL SUPPORTIt is important to emphasise the fact thatPRECAST HOLLOWCORE not only sells floorslabs but also provides solutions. Technical adviceand faultless service form an integral part of theextended range of floor solutions and otherproducts that PRECAST HOLLOWCOREoffers to its customers and specifiers.

Hollow core floors are used in all types of publicbuildings, industrial buildings, parkingstructures, apartments and in single familydwellings. Slabs for industrial buildings have spanloads up to 18 metres. Thickness of the slab canvary from 200 to 400 mm.

The prestressed hollow core floor slab has aguaranteed quality due to continuous in-factoryprocess controls complying withAS/ANZ 9001:2000 requisites.

Typical Header Arrangement

Penetration Positions

PENETRATIONSPenetrations and block-outs in planks should not cut through the strand unless this has beenallowed for in the design. Any coring on site should be restricted to defined parts of members.Where large penetrations are required full width headers may be used to support the end of a plankand transfer the load to adjacent planks. These planks must be designed for the additional load.
