APPLICATIONDelivering the first level of light from a cove fixture. This patent-pending system allows over 85% of the light to exit the cove to deliver better quality light than cans or troffers. Uniquely engineered to optimize the directionality of LED’s, pr1meFX positions the fixture on the back wall of the cove, in line with the top edge of cove, for maximum efficiency. When used in conjunction with a high Light Reflectance Value (LRV) paint on the walls and ceiling, the system is optimized to deliver visually comfortable, shadow and glare free illumination. Ideal for new construction coves, retrofitting existing coves or Tempo supplied, pre-fabricated cove details (coming soon). This easy and intuitive to install system quickly adapts to any in-field cove length with integrated 1 inch telescoping spacers between light engines. Fixture has a pre-set 20º upward tilt for optimum performance and requires no adjustment or aiming. Provides ideal indirect light while improving building infrastructure and lowering construction costs. Available in two foot to six foot sections in one foot increments and can be extended up to the maximum length as per the chart below.

pr1me FXCOVE LIGHTING INTEGRAL POWER SYSTEM

HOUSINGThe light engine includes an LED module attached to a die-cast heat sink. A metalized micro-reflector produces a ceiling wash with incredible uniformity. A molded polycarbonate lens is held over the LEDs and micro-reflector with two captive fasteners extending through the heat sink. The light engine LED module is easily replaceable by simply loosening the two captive screws and releasing the quick-disconnect from the raceway system. Masking is included to allow the luminaire to be installed prior to paint. 4 inch leads allow for connections around 90º corners without the need to purchase jumper cable.

RACEWAYThree die-cast components make up a channel system with connectors and joiners. Power can be connected from either end with the proper male or female Power Feed Cable. A quick-disconnect is located in the channel for connection to the light module. The raceway is attached in the field to a linear mounting rail supplied by Tempo. The sections are set into the mounting rail and snapped firmly into place.

POWER SYSTEM5 watt or 8 watt per foot integral Micro-Drive system in either 120 volt or 277 volt produces up to 100 lumens per watt. Dimming is achievable with a standard ELV dimmer or the Tempo DIM-Z which converts 0-10v to ELV dimming.

PERFORMANCEEach pr1meFX light engine produces a uniform pattern specifically designed for cove applications. The light distribution aims just over the top edge of the cove, thereby eliminating any edge shadows while maintaining ample light on the back wall and in the corners. The operating temperature range is -20⁰c to 50⁰c. Rated for a minimum of 86,000 hours (L85) at 25⁰c ambient operating temperature. Power supply total harmonic distortion <20% and Power factor >0.9.

LIGHT CHARACTERISTICSWhite LEDs of Color Correlated Temperature (CCT) 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K are available. 80+ Color Rendering Index (CRI). Color variations held to within a 2-Step McAdam ellipse.

pr1meFX with Tempo’s Cove Detail

MOUNTING OPTIONSTwo mounting rail assemblies to choose from. Both are a linear extruded rigid PVC in 6 ft increments with pre-drilled holes for attachment to the infrastructure. The system works best if the entire length of the intended mounting area is installed, thereby allowing the luminaire to adapt to the infrastructure.

Cove Details (coming soon.) The mounting rail is leveled and placed in the designed location before the luminaire is attached and connected. The Cove Detail is then pushed onto the mounting rail barbs and prepared for painting.

COVE DETAILS (Coming Soon)Three designer Cove Details that deliver a solution to the high cost of in-field cove construction. The Cove Detail attaches directly to the Cove Mount by means of protruded barbs running linearly across the wall. Inside corner joiner, outside corner joiner, and end caps are available to finish the project. The material is suitable for spackling and painting before or after the luminaire is installed. This Cove Detail provides ideal indirect lighting while reducing project construction costs.
