Afternoon of Tuesday, May 7, 1991 in Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

Shaking up to seven kilometers from the location of the tragedy.

Fireworks factory tragedy gave to the country's history.

The strength of the explosion was terrifying

It shook the surrounding area, many houses collapsed or burned

Not just home alone, several factories, including feedmills, sawmills and factories of food coloring around the area also burned

Dozens of vehicles including cars and motorcycles were destroyed

CAUSE OF ACCIDENT

Fireworks factory is said been

operating illegally since 1978 but it

also acted against the law

when hiring workers under age.

Investigations also found that fire

at fireworks factory is

confirmed due to the

conduct of laboratory test work com

pleted  to-market fireworks.

Caused by negligence

of the factory testing of

fireworks outside the designated

area until

the affected pile fireworks storage is

located near the spread of the next

explosion

The situation became more diffi cult to

control when the fire occurred because

there is no initial fire fighting and fire

prevention are not suffi ciently

available in the factory.

EFFECTS

This has caused some

200 personnel directed move away from the area,

fearing that the gas may impact on their health as

well as to avoid any untoward incident.

The spread of poison gas was getting worse,

causing more than 50rescue team

members reported having diffi culty breathing,

swelling and itching at the face, hands and body,

when exposed to the poisonous gas.

We can learn that lack of safety causes such accidents

We should give more importance to human lives than profits

Knowledge of safety and health is important

Such accidents affect more than 1 person
