Marketing and Brand Manager

Location: Northcote, Melbourne

Reports to: Executive Manager – Marketing and Communications

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the management, guidance and support of the Executive Manager – Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Brand Coordinator will guide the direction and implementation of a variety of marketing, communication and advertising solutions. Over any given week this role will develop, deliver and support a range of initiatives to improve the use of marketing collateral and design across the IntoWork Australia Group and associated businesses. The role has autonomy and covers everything marketing and communications.

Working closely with the Executive Manager – Marketing and Communications (EMMC) develop and implement strategic marketing plans to support existing and planned business activities, design of marketing collateral and growth of brands.

POSITION CONTEXT

Founded in Melbourne 30 years ago, IntoWork Australia (INGT) was created to provide employment and training opportunities for communities in Melbourne’s inner northern suburbs. Since then IntoWork Australia has expanded into a group of businesses that now operate nationwide. These businesses incorporate high profile apprenticeship and recruitment companies including - AGA, CTC, MAS National, Devereux Recruitment, Stockdale Personnel, Rogan Family Care, iTFE and Work and Training (Tasmania). INGT is also the principal supporter of Inner North Community Foundation. IntoWork Australia has recently changed their name to IntoWork Australia.

IntoWork Australia succeeds at addressing skill shortages, helping deliver Government initiatives which assist people starting out in the workforce and connecting employers with job seekers wanting to begin their apprenticeship or traineeship. As IntoWork has grown, so has the range of services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIIES

Working closely with the guidance of the Executive Manager, Marketing and Communications (EMMC) you will:-

Project manage client briefs and workflow in marketing department; strategy, communications, design and digital, with all parties understanding timelines, budgets and milestones within campaign.

Key contact for clients and maintain business relationships; manage deadlines, expectations and deliverables on time and within budget.

Coordinate each campaign by developing and communicating clear internal briefs; taking into account all issues, risks, budgets, timelines, resourcing and material.

Assist with creating an impactful brand that permeates all operations, including copy,

design, social media and events

Ensure all communications and advertising is on brand according to brand guidelines and style guide.

Assist in strategy development and post analysis on marketing and advertising campaigns.

Assist in writing communication copy and proof reading for a wide range of marketing/advertising collateral, which delivers key messages in accordance with corporate brand strategy.

Analyse key competitor activity; strategy, design and media usage and investigate media consumption and consumer behaviour applicable to our businesses brands and target audiences.

Assist with event planning and attend events as required.

Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to roll out tactical marketing campaigns, including the planning for and preparation of promotional packs to support marketing activities.

Work collaboratively with external stakeholders such as print production and media owners to execute advertising campaigns.

Provide timely production estimates and invoices to client, ensuring that all spend is within budget, client approved and accurate.

Maintain database of contacts for targeted promotions and communication strategies.

Ensure quality and accuracy of design, print and distribution of marketing materials.

Promote efficiency and profitability at all times by continually improving processes to increase the speed and quality of work produced.

Internal Contacts: Executive Managers, Information Communication Technology and Finance staff. External Contacts: Marketing and communication consultants including print, online and media.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Education & Accreditation

A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing and/or communications

Desirable

Experience in a similar role.

GTO and RTO experience

Related Experience

Demonstrated experience in the marketing of product and/or services.

Event Management experience. Media and digital campaign experience.

Skills/Competencies

Well-developed customer service focus with excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Exceptional organisational and planning skills that contributes to effective and efficient project execution.

Exceptional writing skills, including perfect spelling and grammar, an innate ability to convey (and evolve) our “voice” and the ability to incorporate feedback with an attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders (internal and external).

High attention to detail, organised and the ability to multi task under pressure and work on a number of campaigns simultaneously.

Ability to problem solve that contributes to productive and creative outcomes.

Proficient in MS Office and CMS.

Demonstrated time management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and to meet deadlines.

Passion, dedication and commitment to marketing and communications with a great attitude that embraces a positive work culture and a healthy work ethic.
