What is PDX Workplace Initiative?

• Initiative designed to ensure PDX remains a great place to work by:

– Providing a PDX workplace environment that reflects excellence in safety, security, risk reduction, job pathways, whistleblower protection and other topics

• Focus on non-Port employees who work in airport concessions and airport operations

Background

• Legal parameters:

– Port must remain neutral in labor organizing

– Port cannot set minimum wage via ordinance

• PDX workforce impacted by the initiative:

– Non-Port employees who work in Airport Concessions

– Non-Port employees who work as Airline Service Providers

• Ground Handlers
