1 www.aacc.edu

www.aacc.edu is Anne Arundel Community College’s public web site. Thecontent is stored in a database and the pages are dynamically generatedusing an in-house ColdFusion-based content management system. The site features a content search and a course search; theability to login to the college portal from any page, and allows contentcontributors to create and update pages using a variety of templates.

Site Background

Role/Responsibility

I managed/produced this project from the ground up by leading andfacilitating the site’s architecture, design and programming needs. I continue to oversee the production of this site, along with the applications, such as forms and/or other user needs and requests.

I have included a project plan example, along with the facilitation method, and an example wireframe.

2 MyAACC

Site Background

Role/Responsibility

MyAACC is Anne Arundel Community College’s portal site which providessingle sign-on point-of-entry and features services for students, faculty and staff. Students are the main audience and the portal is a major mode of communication that not only provides access to e-mail, but also access to online learning, class registration, bill/financial aid payment, grades, advising appointment scheduling, online tutoring, and group collaboration.

As with AACC’s web site, I also managed/produced this project fromthe ground up and continue to lead the effort. This site has gainednational recognition and is referenced often in the higher educationportal community.

Because this site is only viewable with a user account, I have included screenshots in the next two slides for review.

3 AACC Intranet

Site Background

Role/Responsibility

A recent addition this past year to the portal is the AACC’s newlyrevised Intranet site which allows faculty and staff to access pertinent information more conveniently. This site also utilizes the college’s in-house content management system.

This site features a forms search mechanism and updated navigation.

I served in the capacity as project manager for this site, however, this site served as a mentoring opportunity for a junior project manager/producer who learned how to manage a large-scale site through this project and my guidance. I also designed and provided the graphics.

Because this site is also only viewable with a user account, I have included screenshots in the next slide for review.
