BIOGRAPHY: Cathy Bluteau

Cathy Bluteau is a self-taught mixed media artist who plays with everything

from paper to fabric to found objects. After 18 years in the

corporate world Cathy followed her passion and is now

devoting herself full time to her art work. Her colorful and

whimsical style can be found in her water color and acrylic

pieces and her collage work and altered items.

Cathy started her blog Cathy Michaels Design in 1998 to

showcase her work and share her love of all-things-art with like-minded artists.

In addition to her blog she maintains an etsy shop which she stocks and re-

stocks based on her latest creative obsessions! Her items are also sold in 2 retail

outlets in Montreal’s West Island area where she resides.

Cathy also creates, designs and produces a full line of art workshops where she

shares all of her techniques. These are offered both live and online in Canada,

the US and around the world.

Cathy’s work has been published in many Somerset Publications including

Artful Blogging, Somerset Life, and Art Journaling as well as in many of the

Cloth Paper Scissor publications. She has also been a featured artist on many

online blogs and has been interviewed on U.S. based podcasts such as Talk

Radio online.
