Community Fun Day

We are still looking for donations for Community Fun Day. There will be a second hand uniform stall, as well as raffles, tombolas, cuddly toys, books etc. Anything you would like to donate, bring in to school and anything not suitable, we will donate to charity on your behalf.

Primary School Assembly

Last term Megan Hood, Jessica Rowe, Charlie Rowe, Rhiannon Fouracre, Maria

Rowe, Ryan Pascoe, Cameron McKenzie, Danny Moon and I went to St John's Pri-

mary School to lead an assembly. The assembly was about teamwork and how

important teamwork is. We gave a presentation, presented a role play and took

part in an activity. The activity was a teamwork game and involved people work-

ing in pairs. One person had to guide the other and pick up plastic fruit on the

floor. The role play was about a man who was sick and needed help to buy food

so a line of people had to pass food from the shop to the man. Some people from

the audience joined in. We had a great time.

Calling all Homemakers and Hobbyists

Do you have any useable remnants of fabric that we can recycle in our textile

projects? We are currently working with cotton so it’s very expensive and we are

struggling to offer a choice of resources to our students.

Can you help out? fabric, threads, wools, buttons and bows all welcomed.

Send your offerings to Mrs Wills, Textiles department DT6

The winning tutor group for attendance in March was 11ASL with 97.1%!

Everyone is welcome to come along to meet senior staff and other parents/carers within a

friendly atmosphere.

Curriculum Enrichment Week

Although the deadline for payments for most trips is not until the 5th June,

we would just like to remind parents/carers to keep up to date with pay-

ments for activities. This way, big trips can be paid for in instalments and

is easier to pay, rather than one large payment for the whole trip.

Also, can any outstanding deposits be paid as soon as possible.

Exams!

The countdown to exams has started, less than 5 weeks to go! The first exam for Year 11s is the

13th May so if you haven’t already, it’s time to start revising!

Year 11 Prom

The Year 11 Prom this year is at Tregenna Castle, St Ives. Please

give any outstanding forms, to say whether you will be attending or

not, to Mrs Manning in the main office as soon as possible please.
