'What’s on in our Library?'

Monday and Tuesday- Movie Night

Coming soon- Wednesday Night- Story Telling Night- Come and share your

favourite stories

To encourage students to read more often, we are launching a new scheme known as the ‘Pool Academy Book

Challenge’. This will involve pupils reading as many books as possible, over this academic year, from our

recommended reading list.

The pupils that read the most books by July 2013 will be rewarded, including the possibility of winning an

eBook reader! We want to encourage every student to read more often, to read more widely, and to find

something to love reading. We also want to encourage parents/carers to engage with the Book Challenge,

both by helping their child to find and read good books, and by reading themselves.

Parents and carers are asked to support their child by signing off the Book Challenge sheet whenever their

child has completed a book, as a form of evidence. The challenge record sheets will be given out during tutor

time.

If you would like more information, please contact Miss Mason in the English Department.
