What is a Podcasting?*Podcast is derived from iPod and

broadcast. Although you don’t need an iPod to listen to podcasts. All you need are media players on computers or mp3 compatible players.

*Podcasts are a collection of media files (usually audio mp3) that are published to the web, and then syndicated letting users subscribe (sign up) to and download them automatically.

• A Podcast can be downloaded and delivered online via RSS feed (webfeed) subscriptions.

• Podcatchers are special RSS aggregators with the ability to transfer the files to media player software or hardware. iTunes or Juice programs are aggregators or podcatchers.
