    Making Up.

Note: Take your time & enjoy creating this piece. Don’t be tempted to

over stuff each body part. Check that arms & legs are of equal

proportion & gently squeeze into shape.

(please see attached diagram for sewing up instructions for head and

    body)

Body: From gathered end, right sides together sew down to middle of

the back. From the bottom end, sew up to the middle of the back

leaving an opening for stuffing. Fold cast on edge so that the centre

back seam comes to the centre, sew across cast on edge. Turn the

right way out. Stuff and sew up the opening.

    Head

From gathered end, right sides together, sew down to the middle.

From the muzzle sew to the middle, leaving an opening for stuffing. Fold

cast on edge at muzzle so that the centre seam comes to the centre,

sew across cast on edge. Turn the right way out.

Stuff the front of the nose and head. Using safety eyes,

position them and push through some of the stuffing, secure with safety

washer, this should cause the eyes to indent a little. Continue to stuff

the head and sew up the opening.

Embroider nose, checking photos for positioning.

Arms and Legs: Sew up from both ends as before, leaving an opening in

    the middle,

turn the right way out. Stuff equally and sew up the opening.

Ears: Fold in half, right sides together, sew around outer edge, leaving

    the cast on edge open,

    turn the right way out.

Position head on the gathered edge of body, using thin knitting needles

push through head and body to hold it place, sew around the neck

edges several times until it feels secure.

Using the knitting needle method repeat for arms and legs, taking care

they are in a suitably equally position.

Position and sew ears on to the head, again checking that they are in a

good position and equal. I use large colour head pins for this.

Position bob tail, sew part way around, leaving a small opening, stuff a

small amount of filler and complete sewing in place.
