What have we been up to?
Little Boppers
Little Gems and Mini Tots
Pre-school
During the Month of April, we have been taking part in Spring activities. This have
included Flower printing, decorating ladybirds and sticking stripes on bumble bees.
The children have also been doing various activities involving Peppa Pig, this is a big
interest of the children at the moment.
Throughout May, Little Gems and Mini Tots will be learning about different tex-
tures. To learn about different textures the children will be doing lots of cornflake play, playing
with play dough with different colours and smells, shaving foam play, mark making in the sand tray and we will
also be using the sensory bag.
Little Gems and Mini Tots will be exploring the garden and outside areas in the summer months. The children
will be growing cress, watering the plants and flowers. They will also be crawling though tunnels, running in
races and playing with the outside toys. We will be taking the big dinosaurs out side as the chil-
dren enjoying playing games with them at the moment. We will also be looking at different
shapes and the children will be decorating them with paint, felt pens, pencils and sticking differ-
ent materials on them. This encourages the children to recognise and name simple shapes.
Over the month of April Little Boppers
have been concentrating on the very hun-
gry caterpillar. They have been making
their own caterpillars and have been decorating
them by sticking, painting and colouring, to make a
display. We also have some real caterpillars coming
to Boppers soon, we are going to watch them grow
and change into beautiful caterpillars.
During May, the children will be looking at Mini
Beasts. Little Boppers will be looking in the garden
for insects and creepy crawlies. They will also be
continuing to watch their caterpillars grow and
change into Butterflies.
Throughout the summer months Little Boppers will
be learning about different nationalities. They will
be decorating flags using different
materials and techniques. The chil-
dren will also be looking at ‘Under the
Sea’, they will be focusing on different
sea animals and making an ‘Under the
Sea’ display.
Throughout the Month of May the children have
been looking at Mini Beasts. They have been
watching their butterflies grow from caterpillar's
and change into butterflies. Preschool have also
been digging in the garden for different insects
and bugs.
During June Preschool will be talking about holi-
days. The children will be drawing and decorating
different items that they take to the beach.
Over the Month of July Preschool will be having
their graduation and
sports days. All the
children will be tak-
ing part in sports day,
