The fi st factories of the Menk-Schmehmann Group were founded in 1945 respectively
1949 in Bad Marienberg, Germany. Today we have about 1,100 staff members, working
internationally at 6 locations producing technologically demanding components for a
whole range of applications in industrial and process technology.
Optimally coordinated and synchronized fabrication processes between locations lead to
top-quality subassemblies and products, which not only fulfil highest quality standards for sur-
face technology, but also contribute to relieving the environment through their very long life and

Not only renewable energy, but also conventional and renewable power plant technology
ensure day by day that the demand for electricity requiredby industry and the population
is guaranteed at all times.
This sensitive area of power station technology deals with the highest level of safety – requiring
maximum precision and quality.
Our power plant components in this field in particular, are therefore produced only with state-of-
the-art machines and by approved specialists. From production through to dispatch, all parts have
to undergo a preset programme of tests and inspections.
Intensive testing of welded seams can be effected in our in-house X-ray lab among other facilities.

MACHINING TECHNOLOGY
Exact dimensioning and high quality welded joints are
the guarantee for safety and reliable functionality –
even with the largest constructions.
Further processing such as turning and milling is carried
out precisely and to the last detail using state-of-the-art
rigid-bed and lateral milling centres which can process
lengths of up to 14 m exactly as demanded in the specs with
CNC controlled processing of the specific a eas.

Our corrugated tanks are characterised by their unique design:
embossings and optimized oil channels within the corrugations gua-
rantee a directed oil-circulation for a very effective heat dissipation.
Corrugated tanks are produced not only as individual tanks, but also as a se-
ries. Smaller units are assembled on special devices, bigger tanks are assem-
bled on specially optimised work stations. In addition to corrugated tanks,
production of radiator and flat all tanks is also possible.

A special feature of our tanks in their manufacturing quality is their
particularly high dimensional accuracy and the quality of their weld
seams.
All tanks are designed and developed to absorb possible oscillations
and vibrations and/or to compensate them to 100%.

Menk-Schmehmann is one of the pioneers as
to designing and producing cooling radiators.
Thanks to this tradition, we now have a pro-
found know-how with well-experienced specia-
lists.
Every site and location is different, so we continu-
ously developradiators in close collaboration with
our customers. Experience has shown us the best
way forward is optimising D & D characteristics,
material types, process sequences and surface
treatment technology to come up with high quali-
ty and long-life radiators, which reliably fulfil their
tasks, sometimes in extreme environments- up to
and including offshore requirements.
That‘s why right from the start, our engineers and
technicians take in all factors, which could in-
fluence the later functionality and lifespan of a

TUBE BENDS
WE FORM
Being specialists in bending tubes, we have manufactured custo-
mer-specific tube bends out of all types of cold-formable tubes and
cold-formable materials for many years now.
In addition to simple bends, our innovative bending technology now allows
multiple bends without a welded seam. Most modern CNC-controlled ben-
ding machines ensure a high repeatability when producing multiple bends
and/or isometries. Free-form bending offers freely programmable radii so
that we can realize almost any desired form.
From tubes with a diameter of 5 mm used e.g. in the che-
mical industry through to complex tube isometries being
219.1 mm in diameter of a high-pressure tube in a power
plant – we are the specialist for every application.
FLAT COILS
With our state-of-the-art processes, we can produce flat
coils for various industries, in different dimensions and
using all cold-formable steels and non-ferrous metals.
All are produced to the highest quality standards.
For one layer or 1,000 layers – we always consider the eco-
nomic implications and produce our flat coils in a highly auto-
mated process.

TUBE COILS & VESSELS
We use state-of-the-art methods to manufacture tube coils in a wide variety of sizes
made from cold-formable steels and non-ferrous metals destined for different fields of
application.
Our manufacturing processes are characterised by excellent quality and highest precision. Due
to our specialisation, our own technology, our in-house tool manufacturing and our own testing
technology covering X-ray and ultrasonic technology, we rank among the most modern and
innovative tube-bending companies.
Tube bending is carried out exactly according to customers’ drawings with tubes of 5.0 to
219.1 mm diameter, including thick-wall tubes.

For decades, the Menk-Schmehmann Group has manufactured top-quality high grade compo-
nents for heat transfer equipment in many process-related technical applications. Grouping the
