Goals for 2010-2011

2009-2010 Accomplishments• Diversity Recruitment for 2009-2010

– 11%, including 2 key positions

• eBenefitsNow implementation– Researched, attended training, provided information to employees, activated

during Open Enrollment

• Furlough/Flex leave tracking– Calculated & distributed PT furlough, tracked FT furlough

• New Race/Ethnicity Reporting– Employee self-identification through online survey or paper form. New hires self-

identify through updated new hire data sheets (required). Updated application.

• Performance Appraisal Training– March 2010, goal of obtaining more accurate & consistent evaluation results

• Sexual Harassment Training– Researched & selected comprehensive program. Funds not approved.

2010-2011 Goals

1. Diversity Recruitment• Continue to follow state and federal requirements for the recruiting &

hiring of minorities, with the goal of increasing the presence of well-qualified minority employees on our faculty & staff payroll.

• Evaluate the efficiency of our current diversity recruiting methods.

2. Transcript tracking• Currently track FT employees on spreadsheet; will begin to utilize

existing mnemonic in Datatel for tracking this information. Will also add PT employee transcript tracking.

3. Orientation update• Current orientation video is 4 years old, will work with media services

to update and reveal during orientation this fall

4. Online Job Applications• Research, select and present software proposal for moving

the job application process to an online submission format

5. Sexual Harassment Training (revisited)• Revisit Sexual Harassment training proposal, with the

intention of implementing training if budget allows

6. Optional Benefits/Cafeteria Plan• Explore opportunity for improving our current cafeteria benefit

plan
