our Digipak, as my partner and Icouldnt visualise how it would look.By doing this task it has allowed us tosee where everything will be situatedwhen we decided to create our own

Looking back on when my partner and I looked at our favourite CD covers and digipaks we noticed that they were all brightlycoloured and had a pop art feel about them. We therefore thought it would be a good idea to research into pop art. From thisresearch we found out that many pop artist like Lady Gaga and Madonna have previously used pop art in either their albumcovers or magazine adverts. Therefore my partner and I have decided to incorporate pop art into our digipak idea. We thenthought about how we wanted our artist to come across to our audience. Whether we wanted her to be a traditional or a

modern representation of a woman. This proved difficult because wewanted to bring aspect of our chosen song thought into our album coverand when we analysed the song we interpreted it as the artist is singingabout her life and the struggles she has faced throughout her life. Thismeans that really shes being portrayed as a traditional representation ofa woman as she is seen as weak for struggling. This isnt following thepop conventions. However when re- analysing the lyrics we interpretedit in a different way again. This time we felt that the artist started out as atraditional representation of a woman but she grew throughout the

song. As although she's struggled and made mistakes in her life she haslearnt from them and it has made her who she it today, a strongerperson. The whole worlds scared, So I swallow the fear, The only thing Ishould be drinking, Is an ice cold, beer. Also due to our narrative wethought it would be a good idea to represent a tradition and modernrepresentation of a woman on our album cover. We liked the idea ofcutting the image of our artist in two and on one side shes portraying a

modern representation of a woman and on the other a traditional. Wed achieve this through body language and colours. Forexample on one side have the artist with her hand in front or touching her face as it shows innocents and vulnerability and on

the other side we could have the artists hand in a fist or in her hair as this shows strength and power.
