Primary IndustriesAnswers to common questions:• How does the course operate?

Primary Industries is a practical, competency based course. Students are involved in community projects oriented eg Dunecare.

• What do I get at the end of the course?You are eligible for a HSC qualification as well as Certificate II.

• How difficult is the course?The course involves 70% practical work. The theory is not hard.

• What else do I need to do?There is a compulsory 2 weeks of work placement

• What happens when I finish school?Students of Primary Industries have been successful in finding employment in:nurseries, , farms, vineyards and orchards, council parks and gardens, botanic gardens, forestry, National Parks, farm supplies and agricultural retail, conservation and land management, farm machinery.

• Can I study Primary industries after leaving school? You can enrol in Certificate III TAFE and go on to do a Degree
