DisclaimerDisclaimer

• I will refer to italian LQCD activities immediately related to ILDG.

• There are many other physical projects going on, focused on a number of interestingsubjects (color confinement, deconfinement transition, QCD phase diagram, connectionsto strings, …), not in the ILDG core business.

• Other activities (e.g. INFN research project TV11 within CLS) not covered.

ILDG in ILDG in ItalyItaly

• Part of LDG regional grid

• Italian ILDG SE in Parma (StoRM Storage Resource Manager)

• INFN research project (iniziativa specificainiziativa specifica) ) RM22RM22 ( (groups groups in in RomeRome II, , IIII, , IIIIII),), within ETM Collaboration.

Super(?)Super(?)computers computers in in ItalyItaly

• apeNEXT machines installed at the national NEXTCenterfacility (Rome) are still the main resource for Lattice QCD(peak performance of about 7 TFlops) …

… but some news worth mentioning!

RM22 (ILDG) RM22 (ILDG) activitiesactivities

• Not big production activities in recent months (other sites within ETMC have much more powerful computers!)

• Lot of Physics from Nf=2 ETMC configurations (soon widely available within ILDG):

PS-mesons decays constants Bk new methods and results for B-Physics semileptonic decay form factors

• Configurations production scheduled:

Nf=4 (degenerate mass ~ 50-100 MeV) @β=1.9 and 1.95 (a ~ 0.9 and 0.8 fm) 243x48 aim: RI-MOM renormalization for ETMC 2+1+1 action.
