Introduction 3D Cloud of Points In the oil industry it is always
challenging to visualize a full structure or pipeline section with
precise as built dimensions due to the limited visibility
underwater and the limited accuracy of underwater positioning. But,
wouldn't it be much easier if you can visualize underwater with
same accuracy as onshore?! Engineers will be able to view and
measure underwater with same accuracy as on land without taking any
unknown risks or over designing.

Introduction Photo Realistic 3D Cloud (PRC) is a cutting edge
innovative technology to scan complete structures and pipeline
sections underwater to create a 3D Cloud of millions of points
presenting the as-built of any scanned object giving very accurate
measurements more than 1/1000 (ex: 1mm accuracy in a 1m
measurement). Using breakthrough advanced optical sensors and
mathematical disciplines. Equipment can be mounted on any size ROV
or even a diver. 3D Cloud of Points

3D Cloud of Points Advantages: Clear view and precise measurement
of pipeline curvature in 3D. Accurate measurements for pipeline
free span and crossing clearance. 3D visualization for structures
with high accuracy. In hazardous locations, unlike the ongoing
procedures there is no need to shutdown to get accurate
measurements. Ability to measure minor deviations in subsea
components according to different operational conditions. No
expensive or time consuming metrology required for spool
measurements. Distance = 3.5 cm

3D Cloud of Points Applications: Applications: Out of Straightness
Survey (OOS) up to a cm accuracy in both the vertical and
horizontal dimensions to determine the pipeline shape and the
ability to compare it from different PRC surveys. Pipeline lateral
and vertical buckling surveys. Spool measurements. Subsea
Construction Decommissioning. Chain inspection. FPSO
inspection.

3D Cloud of Points Diver Operated 3D Photo Realistic Cloud of
Points (PRC) The Prerequisites for diver operated 3D PRC
reconstruction are: Small boat will carry a computer, power source
( Battery ) to run the underwater cameras ( 24 VDC 50 W ), UPS for
running the computer and monitor, 1gb Network Switch ( 24 VDC. 50 W
) Connected with two 10gb Ethernet cables ( Cat6A or Cat7 ) max 75m
one for each camera and one cable to the computer. MCS 3D PRC
software modules will be installed on the computer. Under water
equipment will be two Ethernet cameras and their base for easy
handling. Cameras will be connected with the switch using the two
Ethernet cables.
