DESCRIPTION
This power point goes with a lesson in which students learn about the life and work of Chuck Close and create a photo-realistic pencil drawing from a black and white photo of a face using the grid method. The beginning of this power point is a game which is meant to be an ice breaker for the students. The students are give the challenge of figuring out what the picture is before it is completely filled in. I allow the students to shout out ideas while I write them on the board. This helps rid them of some of their inhibitions so that they will be more willing to participate rather than passively listen (or worse yet, not even listen.)
