Let’s take time to PRAISE JESUS!
JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! There’s just something about that name! What a delightful song of
praise that is. What we see about Jesus as he walked on this earth, did miracles, taught with
authority, calmed the sea and raised the dead – all that is just a small picture of the totality of who
Jesus is. Everything we believe -- the forgiveness of our sins; the gift of the Holy Spirit living in us;
the glorious hope of an eternity spent with him --- all these and much more are ours only because
of Jesus and what he has done for us. We’ve seen many beautiful descriptions of Jesus in our
Revelation sermon series. Take time to read the first 3 chapters.
There are at least 50 different titles and descriptions of Jesus given in his word. I’ll share several of
them with you and encourage you to look up the scriptures and really THINK ABOUT each one.
JESUS IS:
The Almighty One - Rev. 1:8;
Our Advocate - 1 John 2:1;
The one given all Authority - Matt. 28:18;
The Bridegroom - Matt. 9:15;
The FAITHFUL and TRUE one! - Rev. 19:11
The Good Shepherd - John 10:11;
Holy Servant - Acts 4:30;
Immanuel God with us - Matt. 1:23;
Judge of all - Acts 10:42
Light of the world - John 8:12 (Our world
needs that light)
Lion of the tribe of Judah - Rev. 5:5;
The Alpha and Omega - Rev. 22:12
The Author and Perfecter of our faith - Heb.
1:22;

Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.” Phil. 2:9-11
As we press on through the ‘shut-down’,
through the racial tensions, through all the
trials and challenges in life, let’s take time
DAILY to PRAISE JESUS!
