We sure have had our share of strange and extreme weather this year, luckily we have not had any major damage. We completed our annual Joel Nicolaas Arnoldussen memorial Golf Tournament recently and raised close to $44,000 this year, which will go towards our purchase of a new bus. We had poor attendance last year but this year turned around and we served close to 500 meals. Proceeds will be donated to the Lethbridge Food Bank. September means back to school and the arrival of fall which begins on September 22. I can already feel the days getting shorter. Hard to believe summer is almost over. A few of our singing groups that take a break during the summer are returning this month. Also note that there have been a few changes made to exercises on the calendar this month. Congratulations to the winners of the Western Poker Run. Zelpha M. came in 1st with a full house, David N. had the 2nd best poker hand and Robert H. came in third place. Thank you all for playing.

Sweet September

When August is a declining ember Enter in, sweet September…

Now comes the time for changing color, Miracles unfold, green to amber and gold.

How well my heart and I remember My birthday month - sweet September.
