International Conference on Semiconductor Materials and Nano-Devices (6th

ICSMAND - 2018) continues tradition to be the central international meeting in

Semiconductor Materials and Nano Devices in Pakistan. 6th ICSMAND-2018 is

the meeting bring together professionals from science institutions, universities

and industry that are active in the field of semiconductor materials and devices,

with purpose to achieve correlation between basic and applied sciences with

added value to contribute in education.

Semiconductor materials and devices continue to occupy a permanent

technological position due to their importance when building integrated

electronic systems used in a wide range of applications from computers, cell-

phones, personal digital-assistants, digital cameras and electronic entertainment

systems, to electronic instrumentation for medical diagnostics and environmental

monitoring.

The semiconductor industry is growing rapidly to fulfil the energy demand of

continuously developing world and has become the focal centre of many

researchers across the globe. Sustainable development ties together concern for

the carrying capacity of natural systems with the social challenges faced by

humanity.

The aims and objectives of 6th ICSMAND-2018 are to provide a platform for

researchers, engineers, academicians as well as industry professionals from all

over the world to share their research results and development activities in growth

of semiconductor materials & fabrication of Nano-devices. This conference

provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application

experiences face-to-face, establishing business or research relations and finding

global partners for future collaboration. The research students working on state of

the art nanotechnology will get a chance to discuss their problems with renowned

scientists of technologically advanced nations.

Introduction

The City of Bahawalpur was established about 300 years ago by Nawab Bahawal

Khan and enjoyed the status of independent state until 1954. The city is known for its

famous buildings such as the Noor Mahal, Sadiq Ghar Palace, and Darbar Mahal, as

well as the ancient fort of Derrawar in the Cholistan Desert bordering India.
