Human Rights. The concept of universal

human rights and equality comes exclusivelyfrom the biblical idea that all people arecreated in the image of God.

Women. In ancient cultures, awife was the property of herhusband. Aristotle said that a

woman was somewhere between afree man and a slave. According tothe book Reasons for Godby TimKeller (page 249), "It wasextremely common in the Greco-Roman world to throw out newfemale infants to die fromexposure, because of the lowstatus of women in society. The

church forbade its members to doso. Greco-Roman society saw novalue in an unmarried woman, and therefore it was illegal for awidow to go more than two yearswithout remarrying. ButChristianity was the first religionto not force widows to marry. They were supported financiallyand honored within thecommunity so that they were notunder great pressure to remarry ifthey didn't want to. Pagan widowslost all control of their husband'sestate when they remarried butthe church allowed widows tomaintain their husband's estate.

Finally, Christians did not believein cohabitiation.

Children. In the ancient world, for examplein classical Rome or Greece, infanticide wasnot only legal, it was applauded. Killing aRoman was murder, but it was commonlyheld in Rome that killing one's own childrencould be an act of beauty. Through a higherview of life, it was the early Christian church

that ultimately brought an end to infanctide. The modern pro-life movement is largelyChristian. This pro-life view has been truefrom the very beginning of Christianity. AChristian document called the Didache, dated from the late first century or early

    second century, contained instructionsagainst abortion.

Everything in the life of the creations of Allah, especially for those who have choices tomake (us), must be dictated and clarified by the One who Created everything in thefist place. We understand from this that Islam must be a complete and total way ofliving, explaining everything in the life from beginning to end and from birth untildeath.

Islam is careful to remind us that it not a religion to be paid mere lip service; rather itis an all-encompassing way of life that must be practiced continuously for it to beIslam.

There are other injunctions and commandments which concern virtually all facets of

one's personal, family and civic life. These include such matters as diet, clothing, personal hygiene, interpersonal relations, business ethics, responsibilities towardsparents, spouse and children, marriage, divorce and inheritance, civil and criminallaw, fighting in defense of Islam, relations with non-Muslims, and so much more.

In conclusion, we are forced to realize that ISLAM is a complete way of life for thehuman being. Everything is covered in Islam from birth to death to live in thecomplete submission to the Will of the One Who Created man in the first place.

"The Indian caste system describes the social stratification and socialrestrictions in the Indian subcontinent, in which social classes are defined by

thousands of endogamous hereditary groups, often termed asjtis or castes.Within ajti, there exist exogamous groups known as gotras, the lineage or clanof an individual, although in a handful of sub-castes like Shakadvipi, endogamywithin a gotra is permitted and alternative mechanisms of restricting endogamyare used (e.g. banning endogamy within a surname).

Although generally identified with Hinduism, the caste system was also

observed among followers of other religions in the Indian subcontinent, including some groups of Muslims and Christians. The Indian Constitution hasoutlawed caste-based discrimination, in keeping with the socialist, secular, democratic principles that founded the nation. Caste barriers have mostlybroken down in large cities, though they persist in rural areas of the country.Nevertheless, the caste system, in various forms, continues to survive in modern

India strengthened by a combination of social perceptions and divisive politics.

Buddhism has a huge role in the Chinese culture. Since Buddhism is a

more a way of life then a religion it is an obvious part of their culture.Buddhism shows itself in the way people eat, the construction of theirbuilding, the way in which people interact with each other, and they waythe people of China generally live. Though Buddhism has an overalleffect on all of China it only has a huge effect on the western side ofChina were the number of Buddhist followers is the densest. Buddhism

taps into people's world-views and they grow up believing certain thingsthat mold they way they live. It affects them from such a young age thatthey have no problem bringing into the Culture of their adult hood.Following the fundamentals of Buddhism such as the eight fold pathrequires people to mold their lives accordingly. Living continuously in astate of Buddhism requires the culture to be adapted to these views, andfor people in the culture to live accordingly. Buddhism's effect on the

culture of China is starting to decrease as technology grows but willnever truly disappear. Still in the rural areas you can see an obviousaffect of this powerful religion.
