Proposal for renewing the AIE websiteand database

• Request / Idea Allan– Reinforce existing AIE website with

‘Members Only’ Library of Information– To have in addition an ‘indexed output’ that

is cross referenced to other sections on the website ~ annual budget.

– Both resulting in ‘value for money’ service for national associations and no more/less concerns over budget contributions.

– Less ‘clicking’ for members

• ...it’s time to update after 4/5 years– More efficient updating ~ efficient workload– Agree with idea to broaden Members Only

and select the public pages = apart from news, most important to members are working docs and related EU Directives.

– Beholding Home page as major public viewer with news and events/hot topics

– Website are viewed on new Devices – adapted technology (Mobiles, I-pad...)

system or request for archive pages?) – if we want to have a result-based system

module by: adding ‘tags’ (=keywords and date) to uploaded documents title

– + new ‘sorting widget’ (= functionality) that enables our members to look up documents (= very simplified DMS system on the website). These widgets are placed on pages, sorting on title and date when asked for. It can be run by the administrator and the members.
