    Students will begin

    planning their final

    project and

    presentation in their

    groups

    Engage Teacher will introduce the

    unit and the final project.

    Teacher will stress what

    the final product is; a

    presentation about two

    basketball players, their

    statistics for a select

    number of games, and

    any correlation between

    the stats.

    Teacher will create two

    scenarios with two

    basketball players point

    totals to introduce adding

    functions.

    Teacher will introduce

    topic with buying a

    ranch example.

    Students will be given a

    description of a plot of

    land and they are asked

    to find the dimensions

    Teacher will introduce

    the need for composite

    functions using shopping

    as a backdrop.

    Teacher will remind

    students of the format

    of the final product
