Our annual Novena to St. Anthony begins on Friday, June 5th at 7:00 PM with Sermon, Novena Prayers and Benediction and continues until June 13th – the Feast Day of St. Anthony.
The Novena schedule is:

On Saturday, June 13, 2015 (Feast of St. Anthony)
the Novena will conclude with Mass at 9:00 AM. Blessed Bread will be available to all. (You may wish to bring your own lunch bag to take some
bread home with you.)
Each year our Novena attendance is increasing because word of all the favors St. Anthony grants spreads through the area. People are now coming from other Parishes and even other Dioceses to come and give honor and beg St. Anthony for favors that so many of us need. It seems that more and more people are in need of divine intervention to this great miracle-worker. He has always been known, even while he lived on this earth, as the thaumaturgist, which is Greek for wonder worker! St. Anthony’s popularity increases year after year precisely because he is a true and tried and trusted friend. He has a tremendous influence with our Dear Lord. He glorified God here on earth by his exemplary and powerful preaching and so he continues to glorify God today by praying with us to Our Lord during this Novena.

The Beautiful Feast of Corpus Christi
Saturday, June 6th – 5:00 PM Mass
OUTDOOR PROCESSION WITH TRIPLE BENEDICTION
In Pope John Paul’s homily for the Feast of Corpus Christi on June 15, 1995, he shared with those present his own fond memories of the Corpus Christi Processions he had participated in as a child and later as a Priest and Bishop. “In the Procession, the public and solemn
tribute to the Blessed Sacrament, we expressed visibly
the communion to which it commits us and we renewed
the prophecy of new times when humanity, united in
brotherhood through love, will progress as one on its
earthly way, singing praises to its Lord…
Our procession through the streets and between
the houses of the city is at the same time a celebration of
the pilgrim Church and a shining example of what the
Eucharist is meant to accomplish in social life…
Thus, our procession together, side by side,
listening together to the Word of God, one in heart and
mind in our praise and thanksgiving to the Lord,
reminds us that we are a Pilgrim Church.”
Here at St. Peter Church, let us strive to continue our Eucharistic Love for Our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Make a point of being present on Saturday, June 6th for 5:00 PM Mass and Procession. Don’t be that person who neglects to come to that important celebration!
If Our Lord came down from Heaven and said He was going to be present on Saturday, June 6th at 5:00 PM, the WHOLE Parish would be here! WELL, HE IS COMING TO OUR BORO! HE WILL BE HERE, so there is really no reason why you shouldn’t accept His invitation.
He will reward you in eternity for the sacrifices you make for Him!
Let our entire Boro know – WE BELIEVE, WE LOVE, WE ADORE and we publicly profess Jesus truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

June - Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus As we begin this month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us seek to make reparation for our sins by little acts of love, mortifications and accepting what comes to us each day without complaint. In this way, we will indeed console the afflicted Heart of Christ who loves
us so very much. Why not spend some time before the Eucharistic Heart of Christ in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel? Or, perhaps, try to attend daily Mass during this special month. These are ways we console our Lord and make up for indifference and apathy of so many people toward Jesus.

Please remember that we offer Membership into the Purgatorial Society for our Deceased Loved Ones. Beautifully bound large memorial folders are now available in royal blue and burgundy. Inside the folder is a picture of our Grotto in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes or the Grotto in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The donation for Membership into the Society is $25. Members enrolled in the Society will share in a Mass once a month here at St. Peter Church celebrated on the First Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM.

Readings for The Most Holy Trinity – May 31, 2015 TLM – Trinity Sunday
Reading I – Deuteronomy 4:32-34, 39-40 Moses said to the people: "Ask now of the days of old, before your time, ever since God created man upon the earth; ask from one end of the sky to the other: Did anything so great ever happen before? Was it ever heard of? Did a people ever hear the voice of God speaking from the midst of fire, as you did, and live? Or did any god venture to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by testings, by signs and wonders, by war, with strong hand and outstretched arm, and by great terrors, all of which the LORD, your God, did for you in Egypt before your very eyes? This is why you must now know, and fix in your heart, that the LORD is God in the heavens above and on earth below, and that there is no other. You must keep his statutes and commandments that I enjoin on you today, that you and your children after you may prosper, and that you may have long life on the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you forever."

Reading II - Romans 8:14-17 Brothers and sisters: For those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received a Spirit of adoption, through whom we cry, "Abba, Father!" The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
Gospel – Matthew 28:16-20 The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they all saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."
