The ROSARY…and the Centennial Celebration…This weekend, we celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the First Apparition of Our Blessed Mother at Fatima. Our Lady of Fatima and the Rosary go hand in hand. Mary requested daily recitation of the Rosary at all six of her apparitions at Fatima. She stressed the importance of this prayer…that it’s powerful enough to stop wars, convert sinners and bring about world peace. Recognizing that this is what we all so desperately want; the question is why do we not take the time to pray the Rosary daily? We have time for an infinite amount of “busy work” and we make excuses. We mean well and our hearts are in the right spot…but, somehow, we just don’t get it done. It comes down to changing our
priorities. Think about the words of Father Andrew Apostoli…he is the author of the book Fatima and the Triumph of Mary. “Pray daily, making the best possible effort you can to say the Rosary…it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER.” Find quiet time…no distractions. As you meditate while praying the Rosary, a feeling of calm sets in and you see life very clearly. You also become conscious that nothing is going to happen today that you can’t handle…because you have Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother at your side. Begin today…make time and take time to PRAY THE ROSARY EVERY DAY.Remember, you and your family are always invited to take part in our weekly Rosary for Peace, every Saturday at 4:35 p.m., just before Mass.
