Past Simple (Pasado simple)

Form (Forma)
Para formar el pasado simple con verbos regulares, añadimos la terminación "-ed" al verbo. La forma es la misma para todas personas (I, you, he, she, it, we, they).

Excepciones:
1. Para verbos que terminan en una "e", sólo añadimos "-d.

2. Si el verbo termina en una vocal corta y una consonante (excepto "y" o "w"), doblamos la consonante final.
o Ejemplos:

3. Con verbos que terminan en una consonante y una "y", se cambia la "y" por una "i".

Present Simple (Presente simple)
Form (Forma)
Para conjugar el presente simple usamos el inifinitivo para los sujetos "I", "you", "we" y "they" y para las terceras personas "he", "she" y "it", añadimos un "-s" al final del verbo.
Sujeto Conjugación
I, You, We, They talk, eat, learn, watch, do, go...
He, She, It talks, eats, learns, watches, does, goes...
Nota: Hay excepciones de ortografía en la tercera persona, según la letra en que termina el verbo. Las reglas son las mismas que se utilizan para formar el plural de los sustantivos. Para más información, ver la lección sobre los nombres.

Affirmative Sentences (Frases afirmativas)
Estructura Sujeto + verbo principal.
Ejemplos:
PlayI talk. (Yo hablo.)
PlayHe eats. (Él come.)
PlayThey learn. (Ellos aprenden.)
Negative Sentences (Frases negativas)
Estructura Sujeto + verbo auxiliar ("to do") + auxiliar negativo ("not") + verbo principal.
Ejemplos:
PlayI do not [don't] talk. (Yo no hablo.)
PlayHe does not [doesn't] eat. (Él no come.)
PlayThey do not [don't] learn. (Ellos no aprenden.)
Nota: En frases negativas, el verbo auxiliar ("to do") cambia y el verbo principal es en el infinitivo.
Interrogative Sentences (Frases interrogativas)
Estructura Verbo auxiliar ("to do") + sujeto + verbo principal?Ejemplos:
PlayDo you talk? (¿Hablas tú?)
PlayDoes he eat? (¿Come él?)
PlayDo they learn? (¿Aprenden ellos?)
Nota: Como en frases negativas, en frases interrogativas el verbo auxiliar ("to do") cambia y el verbo principal es en el infinitivo.

Uses (Usos)
1. El presente simple se utiliza para hablar de cosas que suceden habitualmente. A diferencia con el español, no se usa el presente simple para hablar sobre algo que está pasando en el momento en el que hablamos.
Se suele utilizar el presente simple con adverbios de tiempo:
Playalways (siempre),Play every day (cada día), Playusually (normalmente), Playoften (a menudo), Playsometimes (a veces), Playrarely (raramente), Playhardly ever (casi nunca), Playnever (nunca)...
Ejemplos:
Play I always talk to my mother on Sundays. (Siempre hablo con mi madre los domingos.)
PlayHe never eats vegetables. (Nunca come las verduras.)
They learn something new in class.They usually learn something new in class. (Normalmente aprenden algo nuevo en la clase.)

Future Simple (Futuro simple)Hay dos formas principales para expresar el futuro. A veces son intercambiables, pero a menudo pueden tener significados diferentes.

Future: "Going to"
"Going to" equivale a "ir a" en español.

Nota: Para acciones o eventos inminentes, podemos decir "about to" (a punto de). La estructura es la misma de "going to."
Ejemplos:
Play I'm about to leave. (Estoy a punto de irme.)
Play The concert is about to begin. (El concierto está a punto de comenzar.)
Uses (Usos)
Las formas "will" y "going to" se utilizan para expresar el futuro. La diferencia entre "going to" y "will" es el sentido de planificación y probabilidad de que suceda una acción. En general, se usa "going to" para planes concretos, cuando tenemos la seguridad de que algo va a suceder.
1. Se usa "will" con acciones voluntarias.
o Ejemplos:
o Play Will you help me move? (¿Me ayudarás a mudarme?)
o Play They will clean their rooms. (Limpiarán sus habitaciones.)
o Play She won't work with Paul. (No trabajará con Paul.)
2. Se utiliza "will" para expresar una promesa.
o Ejemplos:
o Play When I am president, I will lower taxes. (Cuando sea presidente, bajaré los impuestos.)
o Play He promises he will call when he arrives. (Le prometió llamar cuando llegue.)
3. Se usa "going to" para planes. Se indica la intención de hacer algo.
o Ejemplos:
o Play We're going to have a party tonight. (Vamos a dar una fiesta esta noche.)
o Play Richard's going to take an English class. (Richard va a realizar un clase de inglés.)
o Play Are Peter and you going to play football later? (¿Vas a jugar a fútbol luego?)
4. Se puede usar "will" o "going to" para prediccionesporque el hablante no tiene control sobre el futuro.
o Ejemplos:
o Play It will be a great party. / It's going to be a great party. (Será una fiesta genial.)
o Play It won't rain. / It's not going to rain. (No va a llover.)
Nota: Existen algunas situaciones en las que usamos el presente continuo o el presente simple para expresar acciones en el futuro.
1. Se puede usar el presente continuo para acciones en el futuro cercano.
o Ejemplos:
o Play Sarah is arriving tonight. (Sarah llega esta noche.)
o Play I'm going to the doctor this afternoon. (Voy al médico esta tarde.)
2. Se usa el presente simple para eventos programados en un futuro próximo.
o Ejemplos:
o Play The party starts at 9pm. (La fiesta empieza a las 21h.)
o Play The train leaves at 10am. (El tren sale a las 10h.)

Donde se ponen en la frase:
1.Los adverbios de frecuencia se ponen delante del verbo.
Ejemplo:
My husband often cooks dinner. Mi marido hace la cena a menudo.
3. Con el verbo ‘to be’ se ponen después del verbo.
Ejemplo:
The weather in summer is usually very good. El tiempo en verano es normalmente muy bien.
Se usan los adverbios de frecuencia con el presente simple es para decir con que frecuencia se hace algo.
Ejemplo:
I usually get up at 7 o’clock. Normalmente me levanto a las 7.
Se usa always con el presente continuo para quejarse de algo.
Ejemplo:
She is always interrupting me. Ella siempre me interrumpe.
Se puede usar never con el presente perfecto. Se pone entre el verbo auxiliar ‘have’ y el participio pasado
Ejemplo:
I have never visited Madrid. Nunca he visitado Madrid.
