Partnership packages

Amsterdam Marketing is the city marketing organisation of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area active in promotion, providing information, promoting culture, conducting research and offering services - thereby putting this region on the map as one of the five most attractive cities of Europe for residents, visitors and businesses alike.

Amsterdam Marketing has created partnership packages for all parties that have an interest in corporate as well as leisure visitors. With aid of these packages, partners mutually benefit from the marketing and promotion of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area as an (international) visitor destination, as a livable city for its residents and as an advantageous city for businesses.

The basic package is the entry-level package for collaboration, including: n Guaranteed admission to the NDTRC database: company profile listed on iamsterdam.com

and visibility in national VVV app; n A new partner welcoming message in our corporate newsletter (reaches 3,000 business partners); n Invitation to Amsterdam Marketing networking days and other events; n Attractive discounts on media purchases; n Attractive discounts on I amsterdam merchandise and in-house products; n Partner account on Visitor Insights; n SMART-updates on tourist trends; n I Amsterdam partner button on own website; n Possibility of admission to (international) press activities; and n Showcase possibilities.

MICE package (Meetings, Incentives, Congresses and Events)MICE partners mutually benefit from the promotion of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area as an (inter)national destination through these packages. Furthermore, MICE partners benefit from supporting and attracting more conventions.

The Events & Conventions team uses the contributions for: n Bidding for international congresses; n Representing the Metropolitan Region Amsterdam (MRA) at

international exchanges (including IMEX Frankfurt & IBTM Barcelona);

n Database processing (ICCA among other things); n Research on MRA as a destination for conventions; n Collaboration with the Dutch Bureau of Tourism &

Congresses (NBTC);* n Assistance with press trips (by means of presentations or

tailor-made solutions); n The Holland Congress Alliance (HCA);** n Facilitating the Amsterdam Ambassador Programme;*** and n Task Force for Citywide Congresses.****

The MICE package offers partners: n A business profile in the Service or Venue Finder; n Direct and indirect MICE leads; n Invitations to MICE partner events; n Support for personal MICE acquisitions (including access to the MICE toolkit and promotional

means); n The possibility to request the AMS, Amsterdam Marketing’s corporate magazine, and the

Amsterdam Magazine (A-mag), the Amsterdam city magazine (free). Both are in English and specifically designed for international visitors and residents;

n Mediation during site inspections and assistance with setting up site inspections; n Promotional support during congresses (customized); n Delegate boosting (at the conference prior to the one in Amsterdam, providing extra

promotion by means of a physical presence, newsletters and materials); n The possibility to participate in MICEdition (circulation: 4,000) and the MICE newsletter (24,000

addressees); and n The MICE-update (four annual updates on city developments).

* AM is affiliated with the NBTC and collaborates to put Amsterdam

on the map internationally. They strengthen the (inter)national

reputation and position of our country and encourage visits and ex-

penditures in the Netherlands. As a result we operate in exchanges

under the umbrella of the NBTC/Holland Stand.

** Under this form of cooperation, Amsterdam Marketing participates

in the Holland Congress Alliance (HCA); activities include setting

up joint candidacies, the annual ambassador lunch and participa-

tion in the annual International Associations Congress.

*** This initiative is a knowledge platform to strengthen international,

scientific congresses in Amsterdam, with the aim of promoting

Amsterdam as a city of knowledge. Meetings & Conventions are

excellent means of doing so, because knowledge exchange is the

first and foremost reason for organising such gatherings. Members

of the ambassador programme meet a couple of times a year to

discuss how this goal can be optimally achieved. The ambassadors

in the program have played an important substantive role in bring-

ing a scientific meetings or conferences to Amsterdam.

**** The Task Force for Citywide Congresses is a partnership consisting

of the Business Marketing Team, the Municipality of Amsterdam,

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and other service providers, includ-

ing hotels, congress centres and the GVB. The goal of the Task

Force is to win bids for large conferences in an efficient manner.

This is accomplished via long-term strategies, city marketing and

exuding one communal face in the bidding procedure.
