TheCollegehasaDiscretionaryLearnerSupportfundwhichprovidesfinancialor‘inkind’helptoeligiblestudentsaged19+withanumberofcourserelatedcosts.Thesefundsareaimedatthosemostinneed.Thefundsmainlyprovidesupportforuniformandequipmentcosts,childcare,andassistancewiththepurchaseofbooksandhardshipgrants-youmayapplyforoneormoreelements.Toqualifyyoumustbeenrolledonapart-timecoursefundedbythegovernment(certaincoursesqualify),havegoodattendanceandfulfilnormalUKresidencyrules.

Theamountyouareentitledtowilldependonyourhouseholdincome.Ifyouareaged24+andundertakingalevel3or4course,pleaserefertothedetailsoppositeregarding24+AdvancedLearningLoans.

Payingininstallments

Ifyourcoursefeesare£100ormoreandyourcourselastslongerthantenweeksandmorethanoneterm,youcouldspreadthecostoveraperiodofuptothreemonths.Youwouldpayaminimumof25%*atenrolmentandtherestbydirectdebit,butyoumustarrangethiswhenyouenrol,sobringyourbankdetailswithyou!Ifyoupayyourfeesinfullyoumayalsobeentitledtoa15%discount.

The government has recently introduced a new 24+ Advanced Learning Loan. This will enable those aged 24 or over to apply for a loan to cover their course fees if they are studying a level 3 or 4 course.
