Upcoming Maronite Rite Ordination On Saturday, November 21 at St. Peter's Maronite Catholic Church in Windsor, Deacon John Shiha (formerly of Ste. Anne's church in Tecumseh) will be ordained as a priest in the Maronite Catholic rite, led by Bishop Paul Marwen Tabet. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance is by invitation only. Bishop Fabbro will be attending for the Diocese of London. Please keep Deacon Shiha and his family in your prayers as he completes his journey into the priesthood.
Message from Bishop Fabbro: The dispensation from the Sunday obligation that Bishop Fabbro gave earlier this year expires on the First Sunday of Advent. It seems unlikely that the situation with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic will change in the near future. Therefore he has extended the dispensation from the Sunday obligation, including the solemnities of the Nativity of the Lord and Mary, Mother of God, until Easter 2021.

Quête annuelle pour les cimetières de notre Paroisse: Pendant le mois de novembre, nous honorons les défunts et défuntes. Une des façons de les honorer serait de faire une contribution monétaire à un de nos 4 cimetières. Des enveloppes à
cet effet se trouvent dans votre boîte d'enveloppes d'Offertoire ou prenez simplement n'importe quelle enveloppe, inscrivez votre nom et indiquez clairement à quel cimetière vous souhaitez que votre don soit versé. S’il vous plaît libellez vos chèques au nom de la Paroisse de la Visitation afin qu’on puisse inclure ce montant sur votre reçu d’impôts à la fin de l’année. Annual Collection for Our Parish Cemeteries: During the month of November, we honour the deceased. One way we can honour them would be to make a monetary contribution to one of our 4 cemeteries. Envelopes for that purpose can be found in your box of Offertory envelopes or simply take any envelope, write your name on it and clearly indicate to which cemetery you wish your donation to go to. Cheques must be made payable to Visitation Parish, so that the amount being donated can be added to your income tax receipt at the end of the year.
Attention CWL ladies: To those members who are comfortable attending: All are invited to our upcoming CWL General Membership Meeting Monday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m. The sole purpose of this meeting is to discuss and approve our Annual Budget for 2021. COVID-19 Pandemic Restrictions will be applied as required by Visitation Parish and the Windsor-Essex Health Unit, which include: no more than 50 members may be in attendance; 2-metre distancing among members; the wearing of a mask is required; and no food will be made available. You may also bring your “Street Help” clothing donations. A reminder that these MUST be sealed in plastic bags. Giving Tree: Unfortunately this year,
due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will not have a giving tree with tags. However we can still make a difference and help those in need. Instead of collecting individual gifts, the parish
will be accepting cash donations and gift cards for the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society’s Holiday Program. They have a team of shoppers that will make the purchases for us with our donations. Every $350 we collect will sponsor a typical family. To make a gift, place your donation in an envelope marked “Children’s Aid” and place it in the collection basket, our secure mail slot or bring it to the parish office no later then December 6th. Now, more than ever, we need your help to assure that no child and no family goes without. Let’s see how many families Visitation Parish can help this Christmas!
