Readings for Next Week 1st Leviticus 19.1-2, 17-18 2nd 1 Corinthians3. 16-23 Gospel Mathew 5. 38-48 Responsorial Psalm: The Lord is merciful and gracious. For the Month of February, The Sanctuary candles are

burning for the intentions of our parishioners who are celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and other special events and as well those who are experiencing the healing power of Christ Our parish monthly Calendar will resume for March Please notify the office of any meeting or events in March by Feb 17 that can be included on the calendar. “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only

a page”

Dear Friends in Christ: God loves us all with His unconditional love and forgives us with His unlimited forgiveness. As we go to Him, Christ our Lord stretches out

His hands and embraces us with love beyond measure. It is our great joy to come to Church and celebrate His Sacred Mysteries. Nothing is impossible with our loving Jesus. Let us put all our trust and hopes in the name of the Lord and enjoy great things happening in our lives. Today's gospel passage invites us to reflect on how Christ our Lord came to fulfill the law and prophets and thus deepen our faith in Him. May God continue to bless you all in Christ our Lord through the Holy Spirit. God bless. Fr. Peter The Legion of Mary: We are happy to form a 'Legion of Mary' prayer group that will continue to pray for all our parishioners, visitors and others. Our St. Paul's Legion of Mary is named after Our Lady of Good Counsel. Holy Father’s Prayer Intentions for February 2017. Comfort

for the Afflicted. That all those who are afflicted, especially the poor, refugees, and marginalized, may find welcome and comfort in our communities.

February Devotion February is the month dedicated to the Holy Family. Though the start of the Lenten season changes within the calendar year, a fair-sized portion of February gives us a space of time between the Christmas celebrations and the increased focus on Jesus's public life and ministry, which occurs in Lent. It is a transition from the feast of Christmas to the fasting of Lent. Therefore, traditionally February has become a time to recall the Holy Family; within the Holy Family is where Jesus spent the time between his birth and embarking on his public journey. Parish History Book A team of dedicated volunteers is compiling material to put together a Parish History Book complete with pictures and print of the beginnings of our three parish churches as well as more recent events. They are looking for contributions from parishioners and visitors to the parish. Please drop off material at the office or contact Julie Leahy. We would like to make this book as complete as possible. DO YOU RECOGNIZE THE CHURCH IN THIS PICTURE? Coffee and Gospel Reflection Please join us every Friday after 8.30am Mass for Gospel reflection. We reflect, discuss and mediate on the weekend gospel passage that prepare us spiritually to enter deeper into the Sacred Mystery of Christ.

gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
