Drumragh Parish - Day of Continuous Prayer for Marriage & Family Life

The first day of each month is our Parish day of prayer for marriage and family life. “Ask and you will receive; search and you will find; knock and

the door will be opened to you.” These words of Jesus in the Gospel form much of the basis for the prayer and the activity of his followers in every generation of the church. We need to hear and listen to them today, especially in the areas of Marriage and Family Life. We are conscious of the increasing incidences of marriage break-up in our society. Many of us are touched at a personal level or at least through family and friends by the pain and trauma that it causes to couples and their children. We can despair that anything can be done to turn things around. Thanks God we have the power of prayer to give us hope. Our Parish have people committed to praying for marriage and family life for one hour, and it is organised in such a way that someone is praying all the time during the day and night for the full 24 hours. If you would like to undertake an hour of prayer each month you can do so at any time: Contact any member of the Pastoral Council.
